Editorial Policy and Corrections
Our aim is to provide practical rafting information that helps travellers make informed decisions. General guidance should be distinguished from confirmed prices, departures, restrictions and live conditions.
Sources and verification
We use relevant official information and direct confirmation from the operating team for operational claims. Historical rules and old rate cards should not be presented as current authority without checking their status.
Where we describe a trip firsthand, the author should identify when and where the observation took place. Original photographs should be captioned accurately. We do not invent a trip report, a guide's quotation or a certification.
Authors and reviewers
Articles should identify the real author and their relevant role. Safety-related material needs review by a suitably qualified rafting professional. Reviewer qualifications should be verifiable and relevant to the guidance.
We may use writing assistance to organise or draft content. The publisher remains responsible for checking facts, suitability and the final wording. Assistance should not be used to fabricate expertise or personal experience.
Updates
We review time-sensitive operational information when the underlying arrangements change. A visible update date should correspond to a meaningful review or revision, not simply a change to the calendar.
Current operating status must be confirmed directly for a trip. This website's general season guidance is not a substitute for day-specific information.
Commercial relationships
If a partner operates a departure or supplies accommodation, its role should be clear before payment. Paid placements or sponsored contributions should be labelled appropriately. Recommendations should not hide a relevant commercial relationship.
Corrections
If you find an error, send the page URL, the statement in question and any reliable supporting information through Contact. We should review the claim, correct material errors and record significant changes where helpful.
Scope of advice
Our safety page prepares questions and general planning considerations. It does not replace current regulations, an operator's assessment, a guide's briefing or personal medical advice.
