How to Book Rafting in Rishikesh

Follow a clear rafting booking process: request a route, check eligibility and inclusions, review payment terms and confirm your meeting point.

A good booking gives you more than a departure time. It identifies the route, participants, operating business, total cost and what happens if the plan changes.

1. Send the information that affects the recommendation

Use Contact to send your preferred date, group size, ages, accommodation area and experience level. Tell the team about swimming ability and any concern that could affect participation. Use a private channel for sensitive details.

If your dates are flexible, say so. If a particular person needs a shorter or less demanding outing, make that clear before a route is proposed.

2. Review the route and operating arrangements

Ask for the actual start and finish, approximate river time and full outing time. Confirm who runs the river trip and which requirements apply to your group. Use the route comparison and safety guide to prepare your questions.

Do not treat an enquiry reply as final approval for every participant. The operator may still need further screening and must assess conditions on the day.

Prices may be lower or higher depending on demand and season. Confirm the final tax-inclusive amount before paying. Distances and timings are approximate; the finish at Laxman Jhula or Ram Jhula is confirmed for your departure. Actual timing and route remain subject to conditions.

3. Read a complete quotation

Check the total payable, inclusions, exclusions, taxes or fees, deposit and balance. Confirm whether the trip uses a shared departure or a private arrangement. Transport, photographs and accommodation need separate clarity.

See rafting prices for a comparison checklist. If something is important to your group, ask for it in writing.

Confirm inclusions and participant requirements

Your rafting booking includes a licensed, qualified guide, transport for the rafting outing, a life jacket, helmet and paddle. Hotel pickup is included where the location permits; collection may be from your hotel or the nearest suitable meeting point. Confirm the actual pickup arrangement in advance.

Water and a waterproof bag for a phone are available. Storage for luggage and extra clothing can be arranged on request. The phone bag is for a phone, not general luggage, and is not a guarantee against damage or loss. Photos and videos cost extra.

Our participant age bracket is 14–60 years. Participants must be healthy; people with heart or lung problems are not eligible under our booking requirements. Tell us about any other relevant health, mobility or swimming concern privately before paying. Age eligibility alone does not guarantee participation: the guide must also assess suitability, equipment fit and conditions.

Solo guests can join shared departures, with at least four participants needed to run. Private rafts require advance group booking and a separate total quotation. Marine Drive and Kaudiyala are advance group booking only; contact us for Kaudiyala details and price.

4. Review changes and cancellation terms

Read the cancellation policy before paying. Understand what happens for customer cancellation, unsuitable conditions, a route change, a missed reporting time or a departure that cannot operate.

Check when any refund or credit is processed and whether third-party travel costs are covered. Do not assume one provider's terms match another's.

Advance and weather terms

Advance payment is required to reserve rafting. The advance is non-refundable for customer cancellation. Refunds or a transfer/rescheduling of the booking may be provided only when weather problems affect the trip, subject to confirmation by the team. Read the cancellation policy before paying.

5. Pay through the confirmed channel

Use only the payment details provided through the verified booking contact. Check the recipient and amount, and request a receipt. Keep the quote, payment record and confirmation together.

A reservation is confirmed according to the written terms provided to you. A payment screenshot alone may not show the route or reporting instructions.

6. Prepare for reporting

Save your meeting pin, reporting time and contact number. Ask what to wear, where to leave dry clothes and how transfers work. Read the packing guide and location page.

Reconfirm any time-sensitive operating information close to your date. Arrive early enough for the full check-in and briefing.

If your plans change

Contact the booking team promptly with your reference and date. Requested changes depend on the agreed terms and availability. The crew may also change or cancel a river itinerary when conditions or participant readiness require it.
